Summary
Japanese Toolkit is designed to work without collecting personal data. There are no accounts and no advertising trackers, and the site has no application server to send your data to in the first place.
What you enter stays on your device
Every page here is a static page delivered to your browser. Nothing you type into the site is transmitted to us: there is no API, no database, and no server-side processing of your input. Anything the site remembers for you — saved items, recent activity, preferences — is written to your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies. Your light/dark theme preference and anything you save are kept in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time from your browser settings.
Links to other sites
Some pages link out to travel providers and transport operators. Following one of those links takes you to a site we do not control, with its own privacy policy. We do not share any information about you when you follow a link, and we receive no personal data back.
Analytics
We currently use no analytics service. If we adopt one in the future, it will be a privacy-respecting, aggregate-only service, and this policy will be updated before it is enabled.
Third-party services
The site is served through a hosting provider, which may process your IP address as part of normal request handling. No data is sold or shared for marketing purposes.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
